16U Boys - 2006-07 Provincial Champions

The ROOS have another Provincial Championship! This time it is the best ever finish by a 16U Boys team.

The ROOS were ranked 3rd going into the 12 team tournament on April 28th.

ROOS played Storm Lightening (Aurora) in the semi-finals and won with the scores 25-20 25-17. The win set up a gold medal match against surprise Durham Attack, who were ranked 6th coming into the tournament. The ROOS ended Durhams string of upsets, coming from behind and winning 17-25, 25-23, 15-13.

At the end of the tournament All-Stars were awarded and two ROOS won awards. Outside hitters Aryn Holness and Kyu Tompkins took home awards with their gold medals.

The 16U Boys season is not finished, they are still training hard to go to Moncton for the Eastern Nationals on May 11-13.
