Don’t Make Waves

Saturday night (November 17th) the 14U girl’s team headed out to the Kanata Wave Pool looking for some fun. The ride out was high-spirited with lots of singing (do they know the words to every song?) and dancing. We arrived to find out that the “wave” was not going to be operational that evening. Spirits were not dampened and all 17 girls spent the next hour and a half having fun and making their own waves. Dougal (head coach) and Nick (assistant coach) were both in attendance and doing constant head counts.
After the pool the girls piled back onto the school bus and headed to Nick’s house for a BBQ. It was quite surprising just how much food a bunch of young ladies can consume – they were only outdone by Dougal! Erin (assistant coach) met the team back at Nick’s for the BBQ. By 9:30 the girls were very full and very tired. A good time was had by a great bunch of girls.
