About the Club

Roos VolleyballThe Ottawa Kangaroo Volleyball Club was created in 1992 by a group of high school coaches and parents who were passionate about the sport of volleyball and passionate about developing the youth of the Ottawa region. Today, the club is still run by volunteers and parents who continue to carry forward the same enthusiasm for sport and youth development.

The Ottawa Kangaroo Volleyball Club is one of the largest and most successful youth volleyball clubs in the province of Ontario. Nicknamed ROOS, the club offers a full range of male and female competitive teams, a development program and summer day camps.

Many ROOS alumni have gone on to represent our club at all levels of volleyball, both indoor and on the beach. We are proud to promote our former athletes in their goals as members of provincial and national teams. We also have several former athletes return to become coaches who get to influence the next generation of ROOS volleyball players.

The goal of the club is to enable athletes and coaches in the Ottawa region to learn about and enjoy the sport of volleyball, as well as, to allow all athletes and coaches to realize their full potential in a competitive environment. Our programs emphasize player and skill development and a life long love of the sport.
